What are the differences between implants made of different materials?

Do I need to have my teeth cleaned, ground down, or removed before getting implants?

Does the planting process take a long time? Is it painful?

The implantation time varies depending on the location and number of implants. Advances in modern implantation technology have led to various implantation methods. Traditionally, implantation takes at least half an hour, sometimes even over an hour; recent minimally invasive techniques can reduce implantation time to around 30 minutes. Traditional implantation usually requires several visits to the clinic, but now there's a one-day procedure that significantly shortens the total treatment time, requiring only two visits. Treatment is typically completed in 6-12 month installments. The procedure is performed under anesthesia, making it painless and minimally invasive. Short-term pain, swelling, and bleeding are normal after the procedure. For pain, you can take prescribed painkillers; for bleeding, you can use the gauze provided by the doctor to bite down on the wound to stop the bleeding, and avoid frequent rinsing to prevent irritation. For swelling reduction, apply ice every 15 minutes followed by 20 minutes of rest for the first day or two; after two days, you can switch to warm compresses.

ITI (Switzerland) uses Grade IV pure titanium with over 30 years of clinical use, and is internationally recognized as an extremely stable and durable implant material. However, it requires high-quality bone tissue from the patient, and its cost is on the higher end of the mid-range. NOBEL from Sweden uses exclusive, highly biocompatible materials. The mechanical properties of the implant material are similar to those of bone tissue, which can prevent excessive force concentration at the interface between the implant and bone tissue when the implant is under stress. It also has a good affinity when in contact with hard tissue and body fluids. There are real-life cases of implants still in good working order after nearly 40 years. It is mainly recommended for clients who are having multiple implants at the same time or for half a course of treatment. The only problem is that the price is relatively high.

A diet primarily consisting of liquids, soft foods, and foods rich in protein or electrolytes is advised, while avoiding hard or spicy foods. In addition, smoking should be temporarily avoided to prevent further infection of the wound.
